Today’s weekly mindset is simple in concept, but complex in execution.
It’s important to have as many options available as possible to set up your favorite submission(s). Finishing the submission is not as critical as how you get to the submission attempt.
Find one or two submissions that you really like to use. Then figure out how many different ways to can get into a position to apply that technique. This isn’t as easy as it sounds because there are many positions to move into and out of; there are multiple variations of the submission technique that you prefer to use; and more than likely there are several set-ups as well.
Bottom line, learn the set-ups to your submission techniques more than the techniques themselves. Work on the details and clean up the techniques as best you can to be more effective in application.
Learn. Drill. Roll. TRANSFORM!
